Big thanks to the Berita Harian newspaper team from Singapore Press Holdings Ltd for setting up an interview session with me and my expedition partner and also to share our upcoming plans and stories via a great published write-up article on Berita Harian. I would like to personally thank brother Anwar Yahya who is the reporter and brother Zainal, BH photographer who decided to come down and know more about the expedition plan and help spread the awareness to the community.

Day in, day out. Time is ticking fast.
Still training hard under guidance by my partner with different types of trainings to face my biggest challenge ever: trekking up to Everest Base Camp and running a marathon back down to Namche Bazaar.
Oh God, can I get to Everest this time?
Show me the way please.
God Willing everything can be done. Nothing is impossible in life.
Just that I really do need the community and the World perhaps to support me and bring Singapore Blade Runner to Everest.
Train hard they say, but it wont work well without motivation.
The cost of getting to the Himalayan Regions is more than money.
Nevertheless, I believe there are still some out there who can rally their support for me and partner.
Im still training for it nonetheless, suffer bitterly now and lets hit the summit later!
It's been quite sometime since this was updated. And i realised it was 2 years ago! So i decided to give this space of mine a little 'spring cleaning' i guess.
There are so many races and invitations going on and I couldn't decide which one to choose from as they are all awesome!
But nevertheless, there is only one thing in my mind that I have narrowed my vision to. That is to be in the Himalayan Regions come this May 2016 for a journey worth exploring once in my lifetime. Of course, its the Tenzing Hilary Everest Marathon, the World's highest trail running event.
After much deliberating, I decided to go on with my plans to run the marathon and not ascend much higher altitude to the peaks as I might risk out my stump.
Its actually real hard to find someone who actually understands my disability condition. But finally, thank God, I managed to find someone who understands and accepts my condition as a single legged amputee runner.
After getting several advices from my Doctor, family and close friends, today I would like to announce that someone who will be with me throughout this journey, the one who will be assisting me during belaying, rope techniques, upcoming mountaineering trainings, and the expedition of the year, Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon.
After discussing with both families, a true brother i've known, brother Azlan Ashad, will be alongside me in this adventurous journey and assisting my needs during the mountain race. I'm glad he has attained some knowledge from attending courses such as first aid, exercise and nutrition and also mountain climbing. He will also be attending and learn some techniques on prosthetic tools at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
He will also be climbing various mountains in Malaysia as part of training preparation for the expedition.
We will be selling SBR products such as new design tee shirts, postcard, bookmark, posters and other products to raise more money for this expedition trip. He is the head of the designing and planning process for our team. If you are interested to know more about him, details can be found in his Facebook profile.
For now, much rigorous trainings are needed to condition ourselves before moving on to higher levels so that we have a steady rate of progression in terms of health and performance as we do not want serious injuries or mishaps to happen prior to expedition period.

Running as ONE!
Run to support the prestigious 118th Boston Marathon 2014, BOSTON STRONG!
My first Boston Marathon was in 2012 with a net time of 6.53.55. My projected finish for 2013 was 5.40.24, but the bomb prevented me from finishing. This year was at 7.11.23.
Weather plays a part too. The 2012 race was humid, last year was cold, and this year it was perfect but humid at certain times, which caused blisters on the knee of my stump, cramps in both hamstrings, pain in my lower back, and good ankle.
Another mistake was on the socket alignment of the prosthetic leg which landed on the fore foot. I will be meeting with the prosthesis Mr Trevor to discuss the matter. Anyway I don't really bother about the timing i obtained but just run to have fun, inspire people around and finish strong!
All started at Sheraton Boston Hotel where I got to meet up with the rest of the Athletes with Disabilities. This is the first time such meet up has set up by the BAA organizer and we were all on the special catered buses with police escorts to the starting point, which was approximately a 45 minute drive away.
Thanks God! I won 1st prize for the Superlympic Award during NUS BIZAD CHARITY RUN 2014. Thank YOU SO MUCH.
Team 41 SAR, OPERATION EVEREST. Run 5.1km with our soldiers in the camp.
I would like to thanks the Commanding Officer (CO) and team from 41SAR for inviting me to run with the soldiers and give inspirational talk. A great experience and Operation Everest in progress. PRESSURE FORWARD!
OSSUR Flex Run (SAHARA) ended the journey from 2009 - 2014 after a loud crack heard from the blade while running along Yio Chu Kang Road this morning. Totally damage on the carbon fiber.
Now I'm using the new Ossur Flex Run prosthetic leg.
